Radio Play Excitement!
What a month!First I found out that Women of Substance radio chose my song "Knocking" to feature every day throughout April on their "Music with a Conscience" show. What an honor!Music is still a very male-dominated industry. I love how this radio show specifically seeks out great female musicians to share with the world. This is what Bree Noble, creator of Women of Substance radio had to say about the "Music with a Conscience" show I was chosen for...
"This is the type of show Women of Substance Radio is all about. From musical sentiments of hope, to songs whose raw emotion elicits rage or unexpected tears, to lyrics that are controversial and thought (and action) provoking, these artists know how to expose the heart of vital issues with their music. This show tackles many issues: war/peace, homelessness, morality, the environment, domestic violence, aging and more." (reference)
This definitely connects with what I'm all about. :)Bree also featured "Knocking" on her Women of Substance podcast, episode #367. This podcast is found on iTunes, SoundCloud, Stitcher, TuneIn, iHeart Radio, etc. About the podcast:
"The Podcast has skyrocketed in popularity on iTunes to #1 on New & Noteworthy in 3 categories and reached #2 Audio Podcast overall. 4 months after our launch, we hit 70,000 downloads and hit 1,500 downloads in a single day and 3,000 total downloads of a single episode! By the end of 2015, the WOS Podcast hit over 150,000 downloads and was nominated as "Most Creative" Podcast for the 2015 Podcaster's Paradise Awards." (reference)
What a cool thing to be part of!
Then I was accepted to be part of OutboundMusic, on The Connection Radio station! Right now, my songs "Worth More" and "Say Go" are on high rotation, among some great artists. This summer, "Where I Belong" and "Wait in Hope" will be put on high rotation! So grateful to get to share my music with and inspire people around the globe through these avenues.
