Story behind "The Dance"

I was reading a book in which the author commented that the Gospel is seen as just a checklist these days (understand this, realize your need, accept Jesus, pray this prayer).  However, the author sees it more as a story for us to become a part of.  This is where my original concept for "The Dance" came from.  Classic stories have once upon a times, kings, enemies, journeys, battles, and victories; I wrote my real life fairy tale in this context, as a metaphor for the true spiritual reality.Scripture refers to it as the “Kingdom of God” or the “Kingdom of Heaven” -- a restored realm in which people accept God’s rule as King.  The Kingdom in our real life story is one of truth, beauty, love, joy, and trust in the King.Growing up as a dancer, I have also thought of the Kingdom of God like a dance.  The purest of dances can celebrate life, connect friends, express freedom, join lovers, and rejoice in all that is good.  You can choose to join the passion and excitement of the dance, or you can choose to watch from the side, perhaps wishing that you had the guts to let go of any inhibitions and jump in.I’m also drawn to the concept of God as a Potter, naturally, considering my married name!  This expresses the creative side of God, interested in spending the time to mold us into something beautiful and of good use for the Kingdom.(Visit www.stefaniepotter.com to get this and 3 other songs for free!)
